I have been informed by fan and commenter zeddy1267 that I've made the front page with my Sword Fighter Peach animation. I'm deeply honored to be featured with such amazing and groundbreaking art(including every medium here)

I'm still learning the ins and outs of NG but it's quite a morale booster to be recognized for my art.

I give that 10 banana split sundaes worth of thanks from me everyone! ;-;

Hey all!(Not Scott here) I just wanted to put this somewhere so if anyone is wondering or looking at my profile they'll have a better idea of what I specialize in and what I'm still working on in terms of skill stacking.

In general I'm probably not going to be making any sort of short film or parody style animations. Not for lack of trying but I have little experience in constructing a story let alone a comedic one. It's always been my weak spot because I joined the game industry early in my career and it did not call for any of that. I can build all the assets for a short film but I am not much of a writer. I'm a game developer first and I do work on my own games which I hope to showcase here.

I love all forms of animation and the latest craze for me is The Amazing Digital Circus. Little aside here, I thought that was amazingly funny, creepy and most importantly FRESH. Pomni is a great design and character with an amazing personality for an animated character. I really latched onto her and felt for her plight. 100 million+ views probably aren't wrong. It's a hit! It's probably one of the most amazing stories in independent animation ever (don't quote me on that)

With that said the types of animations I specialize in would be game characters with looping or one off animations like idling, jumping, attacking, etc. Stuff like that. However, one day I would like to take these skills and make a short film or a parody of something I love and join the pantheon of other amazing film makers on NG.

I'm currently learning Davinci Resolve and Blender but my main skillset is in 2D so that's what I'll be creating for now. I can do a lot in Blender now but seeing the gulf of information that I still have to learn is daunting. I've split up stuff I study and work on per day. I have ADHD so I've learned from experience that working on the same thing for days and days is not healthy for me. I have done that in the past and it's led to significant burn out.

TL;DR I'm a game developer and the type of art I make works for games. One day I hope to make a short animated film, parody or otherwise.

Also please bear with me while I learn how to snuggly fit into the Newgrounds world and culture so I'm gonna make mistakes so please forgive me in the mean time.

I've been so busy lately that I haven't had any time to give any love back to other creators on NG. I barely have enough time to make this post at the moment. I'm gonna be fully integrated to the NG lifestyle very soon though!

Also big thanks to everyone that has seen my work and a huge thanks to those that reacted or commented on it!!!

Hi I'm makallenz, I've been in the commercial game industry since 2012 but have since left it due to not feeling any sort of joy or accomplishment working under managers that don't know shit, take 3 hour lunches and maybe work 1 hour per day. It's just a real freaking drag to be in an art field and have to deal with people that don't know SHIT and got into their positions through cronyism and nepotism. That would be fine if they could actua..ya know what never mind. I'm ranting again.. It seriously sucks that stock bros, scrum bros, business bros have taken over a field originally ruled and own by nerds that were bubbling with passion and verve and made games because they loved them and not just to make FAT STACKS.

Anyway I much prefer the company of my closest peers and even the younger generation. I've been so enamored and impressed with all the indie games that have been coming out lately. It really helps fuel my own desire to finally one day finish a game project.

The future is not in the commercial games industry, it's here on Newgrounds and it has always been. So many amazing games, animations and stories are birthed here.

I hope I can bring even one-tenth of the joy to others that NG has brought me.

I'm an artist I don't know how to write so hopefuly that all made sense.
